Stuart Redler – Oldie Worldie

With an eye for the idiosyncratic, a tour of southern England and Wales beckoned over the restraints of the pandemic summer of 2020 for Stuart Redler.

The son of a farmer and no stranger to the countryside Stuart captures the quintessential English landscape with humour, affection and not a little eerie foreboding.

Nocturnal, half timbered cottages somehow lose their daylight sweet appeal, others mischievously poke their thatched hats above bizarre topiaried landscapes.

Lollipop sculpted trees stand alone in all their awkwardness.

Fishing boats yearn to break free their dark moorings for the open water.

Skies loom heavy with clouds over familiar yet distant seaside towns.

All is not as it might appear seen through the Redler lens. View the entire series here.
