08 Jul Let’s Not Blow This
For the second year in a row Kevin Reilly and his talented team of artisans have designed and created an extraordinary sculpture for the Underwater Museum of Art located near Santa Rosa Beach, Florida.
This years creation, named Let’s Not Blow This, represents the earth as a fragile dandelion. The hand represents man’s potential to restore and protect our environment. It is meant as a hopeful call to do all that we can to preserve our natural world. Over 2 tons of steel and concrete were used to construct this incredible piece!
Let’s Not Blow This joins Kevin’s 2018 installation, JYC’s Dream, an homage to Jacques Cousteau’s “Aqualung”. The two sculptures are now submerged in the Gulf of Mexico at a depth of 58 feet, for divers and wildlife alike to enjoy.
